COVID-19 Update: Convenings at Deaconess Center for Child Well-Being

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Deaconess Center for Child Well-Being closed its physical space to Co-Locators and Community Partners. Since the closure in March, Deaconess Center has designed guidelines for a safe re-entry for our community. The re-entry guidelines are focused on providing community health best practices and meeting the demand of advancing child well-being. The guidelines were drafted by representatives of Deaconess Center’s Co-Locating Partners and informed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) documents, St. Louis City, St. Louis County, Missouri health departments and the United Church for Christ recommendations.

On June 1st, Deaconess Center initiated the first step of the re-entry guidelines by allowing Deaconess Center’s Co-Locating Partners to return to business operations under CDC recommended policies. Until further notice, Deaconess Center will remain closed to indoor convenings and will only be accessible by appointment with Co-Locating Partners. All scheduled indoor convenings from June 1st to August 17th, have been removed from the Center’s Calendar. If you have a physical convening was scheduled during this time frame or have the need for a new convening, Deaconess Center can provide a virtual convening option through our Zoom platform. If you would like to schedule a virtual convening please fill out a Virtual Convening Request. Additionally, Deaconess Center will now provide outdoor convening space on our campus with physical distancing restrictions. If you would like to schedule an outdoor convening please email conveningdesk@deaconess.org.
