Deaconess Center’s mission is to build power to advance child well-being in the St. Louis region by strengthening alliances for child-friendly public policy, increasing citizen contact with policy makers, positioning youth and organizers to move systems, and engaging faith communities in child advocacy.
Currently, the physical building of Deaconess Center is closed to prevent the spread of Covid-19. However, our network and partners continue to move policy work forward to the benefit of our children. To support child advocates during this unique time of need, Deaconess Center for Child Well-Being is now offering virtual convenings to organizations, initiatives, and endeavors aligned with the vision, mission, and values of Deaconess Foundation.
Virtual convenings offer a unique engagement opportunity for organizations and Deaconess Center is excited to engage community with this tool. Virtual convening can be requested at the Center’s website and will be approved by Center staff. All virtual convenings are hosted through Zoom.com and require event host to have a registered Basic Zoom (Free) account.
